Roughly half of all Californians are pre-diabetic, a staggering ratio. The problem is, most aren’t aware that they fall into that risk category — so 90% never seek medical help. But there’s good news: For the first time beginning in 2018, diabetes prevention services will be available through Medi-Cal, California’s version of Medicaid.
