Hip hop artists Common and J-Cole headlined a free concert at the Capitol Mall in Sacramento, CA on August 21st, dubbed “Imagine Justice.” The concert, which drew tens of thousands, was organized to raise awareness about the impact of mass incarceration in communities of color. For Common, the concert came on the heels of a prison tour, and visits with elected officials to discuss the need for reforms in the criminal justice system.
